I created this site
to help those technicians out there in North America (and any other country
if they find this site) who regularly maintain and install the NEC NEAX 2000
IVS/IVS2 and IPS product line of PBX's.
I must reiterate once more
that this information is not supported by NEC Unified and calls to the NTAC
about anything on this site will not be acknowledged.
If you would like to contribute
anything to this site or have any comments please email me at.....
Late March 2008
So I'm sure have all heard by now of the SV8300 coming soon to a store near
you. The Rollouts for the SV8100 (new IPKII) are underway and I'm sure a few
of you reading this may get the chance to join
in the show. The SV8300 will be mentioned but only the SV8100 will be doing
technical demos with detailed info.
From what I hear the SV8300 is the same as what you are used to wrapped in a
new package. It shares the same cabinet and cards as the SV8100 but the CPU
is a stand alone unit.
As for programming you have nothing to fear. It is only good news. CM 10 has
changed and from what I see it is actually easier. CM 05 has also changed and
is easy to comprehend.
The only thing you may miss is those little tiny sense wheels on the AP cards.
You'll still need the tiny screw driver but only to undo the blade screws for
each card. More info coming soon.
Updated the ISDN Cheat Sheet with the Caller ID Name and Number. Also a new
Quiz.
Ok its on line. I finely got some time and www.IPK2stuff.com
is now open. Seeing as I am mainly now working on this product I will have more
content posted to it soon as well as a Quiz for the IPKII.
Still just the name in lights if your the lucky first person to answer it right.
Trouble clicking links on this page?
If you are experiencing issues clicking on the links at the side of this page
go to "Tools" in Internet Explorer and then select "Internet
Options". Select the "Security" tab and then click on the "Internet"
icon. Click the "Custom Level..." button and then scroll down to "Miscellaneous".
Go down to "Navigate sub-frames across different domains" and select
Enable.
This should correct the issue. If you have this web site in your "Trusted
Sites" list you will need to highlight that icon and adjust the "Custom
